About the Series
Join Melinda on Wednesdays starting 10/27 for this immersive yoga and breathing exploration. This is a fabulous way to begin a new yoga practice or to deepen an existing one.
This meditative pranayama focused yoga series will incorporate slow fluid movements and steady stretches with deep meditative breathing to release tension and stress in the mind and body while simultaneously building core strength and flexibility. Our practice will end in Savasana with a guided relaxation.
Students will experience a sense of inner peace which will travel with them beyond our 60-minute practice. Some additional benefits to deeper meditative breathing include better-quality sleep, enhanced cognitive functioning, and reduced addictive cravings. All are welcome to practice!

Melinda has been a student of all yoga and fitness since 2004. She obtained her 220-hour Kundalini Yoga Instructor certification in 2008 along with group fitness training and has taught classes from cardio-kickboxing to Pilates and Yoga ever since. She has maintained her status as a student and has practiced with dozens of different teachers through the years. With a master's degree in Mathematics and an additional 30+ doctoral credits in math, physics, and education, Melinda is currently an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the Community College of Rhode Island.
